Recently, TM users are not able to connect to Dalnet. It seems that Telekom Malaysia has instituted some sort of change which prevents or interferes with connections to IRC for certain users.

If you are having difficulty connecting, you can try connecting to one of the following servers:

irc.dal.net

or connecting directly to some of the public servers in the US:

krypt.dal.net
punch.dal.net
swiftco.dal.net

or certain Europe-based servers:

matrix.dal.net
arcor.dal.net


If you still can't connect, and aren't getting a DALnet-specific ban message, you will need to contact your ISP to let them know you're having a problem.


I've tried matrix.dal.net and it worked without any hassles.
so you guys, if you wanna access dalnet, you can connect via matrix.dal.net :)

Sometimes, CTRL+ALT+Delete isn't enough in windows 9x/ME. 1. Run VLC media player >Click file> Select Quick Open File...
2.Next,Select the .flv file that you want to convert and click open. as shown below:


















3. After that, click file, and select "Wizard..." as shown below:














4. Select "Transcode/Save to file" and click "Next"















5.Next, Select "Existing Playlist item" (*Please make sure that the file that you want to convert is selected.) Click "Next".



















6. After that, under "video", check the box "Transcode Video". Use "WMV 3" for "codec". choose "768" for "Birate (kb/s)", Click "Next".



















7.Now, choose "ASF" and click "Next".












8. Now, give a name for the output file. click "choose"




9. Be sure to put ".wmv" behind. (For instance: Mr.Bean rides the train.wmv) , click "save"




10. Now, please make sure that the file name is correct and click "Finish".














11. The conversion process will now begin. Please wait until it is finished.






12. The wmv is now ready.

Step 1 : click "start" and select "Run" , as shwon below:











Step 2 : Input the word : "Prefetch " as shown below:












Step 3 : Select all files in the folder(by pressing Ctrl+A on your keyboard),
press "delete" on your keyboard
and choose "Yes" to send them to recycle bin, as shown below:

nowadays, the computer viruses are spreading over the internet in very fast rate.

Here's the way if you suspect that your computer is possibly infected by viruses without antivirus installed on your computer.

Firstly, Please! disconnect your computer form the internet.
here's the advantage of using System Restore.
start your system restore by clicking start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore.
and then,select restore my computer to an earlier time and click next.

Let me teach you how:

for instance:if you suspect that your computer got infected today September 13 2007,
select the restore point of the date before your computer infected by virus.

eg: select the restore point which located at the date of September 12 2007.
If there's no restore point on September 12 2007,
Select the date before September 12 2007

choose a restore point before September 13 2007 and restore your computer to the date you selected.

wait until the restoring proccess finished.

Downlaod a trial version of ESET NOD32 antivirus which is free for 30-day trying purpose.

Install it, disable system restore and run a full system scan to eliminate the infected files.

after it finished,
take a look to your regedit:
start>run>regedit

browse to : HKCM>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current Version>Run>
HKCU>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current Version>Run>




Take a look to make sure that there is no suspicious files remained.
If you see any suspicious key remained, you can delete it by pressing the 'delete' button from your keyboard and select "yes" for the "Comfirm Value Delete" Dialogue.

Disable the Windows Firewall

disable the Windows Firewall by:

Firstly:
-->go to Control panel>security center
-and now you'll see a window called Windows Security Center.

Secondly:
Now, scroll down to the bottom,under "manage security settings for",
choose Windows Firewall.

Lastly:
and now you'll see a window called "Windows Firewall"
Select "off(not recommended)" and click "Ok"

by doing these, your download speed will definitely speed up a little bit! However, since the online threats are hunting for their victims over the internet, turning off the windows firewall is strongly not recommended!
